MedjetAssist Appoints New Director of Transport Operations
|
Birmingham, Alabama - April 1, 2008: MedjetAssist, the nation's premier medical evacuation membership program, today announced the appointment of Jeff Sayers as its new Director of Transport Operations. Before joining MedjetAssist, Sayers served for six years as Communications Manager for the STAT MedEvac communication center located at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA, having originally joined STAT in 1999 as a Communications Specialist and then Transport Coordinator. Prior to his STAT career, Sayers was a law enforcement officer and Emergency Medical Technician. As Director of Transport Operations, Sayers succeeds John Gobbels, who recently relocated from Pittsburgh to Birmingham to become VP/COO of MedjetAssist. Sayers will maintain his residence in Pittsburgh, but be a frequent visitor to the Birmingham headquarters of MedjetAssist. "We are excited to welcome a professional of Jeff Sayers' caliber into this very important role in our organization," says MedjetAssist President/CEO Roy Berger. "As he has worked with John Gobbels since 1999 and supervised our off-hours call center at UPMC, Jeff is already very familiar with the MedjetAssist product." ABOUT MEDJETASSIST
